Course Information
Topics addressed include aesthetics, the variety of ensembles, musical form and design, analysis of the creative process, and criteria for the evaluation of musical performances. Lectures are illustrated by live and recorded examples. Recital attendance may be required. Appropriate for the general student, this course partially fulfills General Education requirements for the Humanities.
Hours/semester: 48-54 lecture.
Recommended: Eligibility for ENGL 100, or equivalent.
